Brings back some great memories, Joe. My Dad bought us a '70 SL100 and '67 CL77 305 Scrambler for our first bikes in the summer of '72 when I got back from working at the YMCA camp in Iowa. I leard to ride on the SL100, and several months later he bought us a '71 SL350. I learned to ride better on it, when I wasn't pushing it back from the field due to a shorted out electrical system. Had some great times on those bikes, and learned the mechanical basics of motorcycles around the same time I learned about cars, too. Thanks for the memories! Happy Thanksgiving to you and your's! BTW--has the race season started yet!?---ha! Take care---Mike

ReplyDeleteMakes me miss my 71 CL450! It's a shame so many 70's bikes are being butchered these days.
