I'm using SOK brake shoes.
The brake plates are both magnesium. After sand blasting I painted them with Dupli-Color self-etching primer and caliper paint. Painting magnesium sometimes doesn't work out, so only time will tell if this holds up.
I bought a JT Sprockets 48 tooth rear sprocket. When I bought my '73 DT3 it had the stock 13/44 sprockets for a 3.38 ratio. I went to 14/44 for a 3.14 ratio to gear it better for street riding, but 3.38 seemed to be good gearing for trails. For this bike I'm starting with 14/48 for a 3.43 ratio. This will be close to stock enduro gearing, but the larger sprockets will give more clearance at the swingarm pivot. The new lock tabs are from The Vintage Spoke.
I put the chassis into a roller so it will be ready for the engine when it's done. I still need to lengthen the side stand. In mockup I thought I'd need to, but wanted to see what the final ride height was going to be.
I bought a NOS Suzuki 58500-15001 rear brake cable.
