hi mister Joe, thursday I am going to get this bike. I am 99.785% positive it is a Yamaha GT80 or MX80 or DT80. the seat and pipe look great to me. when I do a Google search I can't find any good pics of modified racers of this bike. I was looking for vintage catalogue pics of hop-up parts from the day like pipes and stuff that I remember. wondering if you had any old cataloges with pics that you could post, or any cool racer pics. I want to get mini Petty fenders and find a period aftermarket plastic tank or possibly modify a JT60 tank. I want to keep the skinny stock shocks. I want to get the bike looking real nice. new knobbies and rubber parts. http://missoula.craigslist.org/mcy/5714360300.html
It does look like a GT80, and is a great price for that bike. I can't think of any GT80 stuff to post, but I'll keep an eye out for some. That Bassani pipe on it looks perfect. It'll be a great project.
today I found a mini tank that I forgot I had. I posted pics of on instanttractiondeluxe.blogspot.com I also have Petty fenders I can use on it and I have a set of MX80 bars too. the bars in the pics look wrong but that might be an optical illusion. I have throttles, grips, levers and perches if I need them for the bike. the cost of little stuffs will add up, like tires, brake pads, fork seals and chain/sprockets... you know the routine.
