Triumph Speed Four stuff

The battery in my 2003 Speed Four was starting to go, and finally died. It was it's second battery, which isn't too bad for an 8 year old bike. The last time I bought another Yuasa to replace the original. I always figured they were worth the extra money, but this time I got a TMS. It is an AGM type sealed battery, ready to go out of the box. At about $40 shipped to my door from T-Motorsports, it's quite a bit cheaper.

It seems like a quality battery. The terminal setup isn't as good as the Yuasa. The nuts in the "cage" don't like to line up as easily, but trim some little strips from the box to hold them in place, and pull it out once the bolt is started.

The battery was just a mm or 2 wider than the Yuasa, which was a very tight fit itself. I trimmed the tabs on the side of the battery box so it would drop in easier, shown below before trimming.

Being a fuel injected computer controlled bike, when the battery died it left a trouble code. This was the first time I've ever had one on this bike. I'd read that a standard OBD II reader would work, so got mine out and hooked it up. It read and cleared the code.
