XT500 projects

I'm still chipping away at some of the details on XT500 #1 before it is ready for finish work. I got a Yamaha LT2 front fender for the bike. It is a perfect fit for the 18" front wheel.


I also got a DT headlight and mounting ears. The ears just fit the 35mm forks I'm using, but I had to open up the mounting rings slightly.


Since I'll likely be using the stock gauges, I made a bracket to fit them to the XS500 top clamp. I'm working on the brackets to adapt the LT2 fender to the fork legs. The brackets are just roughed in here. I'd been working on some small side covers for the under seat area, but not sure if I'll use them. Anyway, I'm really happy with how the bike is looking.






I haven't made any recent progress on the XT500 MX project, but once XT500 #1 is done I'll be getting busy on it again.
