Jungle Park Speedway

The Jungle Park Speedway Reunion returns in 2018, taking place on September 23rd from noon until 4 PM. Hosting is the Indiana Racing Memorial Association, and special guests will include Merle Bettenhausen, Bill Vukovich Jr, Johnny Parsons Jr and Tom Bigelow. Kody Swanson, the current USAC Silver Crown points leader, will also be in attendance. Admission is $10 a person or $20 for a car load. Jungle Park Speedway is located 8 miles north of Rockville, IN on US 41.

Ironman National part 4

I really enjoyed The Legends and Heroes Tour. It is a traveling motocross museum, and had some very neat bikes on display at Ironman.

In a regular motocross race the basic idea is simple; get a good start and go fast. In a mud race it's a little different. A good start is even more important since passing is so difficult, and not as much roost from bikes in front of you to deal with. After that it's more a matter of survival and staying out of trouble, which isn't so easy. Get a decent start and just manage to stay moving, and you'll likely get a good result. So as a race a mudder isn't as good, but as a spectacle it can be a lot of fun to watch.
